The Blairgowrie Community Association

A community-led organisation working to maintain, protect, and improve Blairgowrie for everyone who lives and works here.

3 Municipal Wards Represented

The Blairgowrie Community Association (BCA) is a registered non-profit organisation and community body, mandated by residents and businesses to represent the suburb in matters that affect daily life in Blairgowrie, Pine Park, and surrounding areas.

We work directly with the City of Johannesburg and other stakeholders to ensure that issues are addressed, services are maintained, and the suburb continues to grow in a positive direction.

Every contribution helps maintain and improve the suburb — from public spaces to essential community services.

How the BCA Works

The BCA operates as a Region B registered stakeholder, meaning we are formally recognised by the City of Johannesburg as the representative body for the Blairgowrie community.

Our committee consists of volunteers who contribute their time and skills to oversee different areas within the suburb — including infrastructure, safety, communication, and community initiatives.

We engage regularly with:

  • City of Johannesburg departments
  • Ward councillors
  • Service providers
  • Local businesses and residents

This allows us to track issues, push for accountability, and drive projects that improve the suburb.

Connect the Community

We create clear, consistent communication between residents and businesses to strengthen a sense of community.

Empower Residents

We help residents understand how to report issues, navigate city services, and take action within their suburb.

Represent & Escalate

We act as a unified voice, escalating issues and engaging with authorities on behalf of the community.

The Committee

The committee that runs the BCA is a group of volunteers dedicated to fostering communication amongst residents and businesses in our suburb.

We’re always looking for residents who want to get involved and make a real impact in Blairgowrie. Several portfolios within the BCA are currently vacant, offering an opportunity to contribute your skills and help shape the community. These include Roads, Security, Marketing, IT, PikitUp, and Beautification. If you’re able to assist in any of these areas, your involvement can make a meaningful difference.
